Obama is about to announce his gun control program while surrounded by children. You might remember that Hitler surrounded himself with children too right before he took away all of Germany's guns.
You might also remember that it was Christians like Dietrich Bonhoeffer and others that spoke out against Hitler and wound up disappearing into concentration camps. Hitler youth sang the praises of the Fuhrer, the Bundestag (parliament) sat silent, bullied into submission, state controlled media covered up abuses while reporting the party mantra, and the army high command, vying for power in the administration, allowed the dictator to remake the military and take over. Nobody had the guts to stand up to him.
What do we see happening in America today? Christianity and Christian belief more and more being restricted by the government, school children singing Obama's praises, Democrats in lock step with Obama and enough Republicans cowed into silence that there is effectively no opposition in Congress, the sold out media repeating the Obama mantra, ignoring the Obama lies, broken promises, and abuses of the Constitution, and the Joint Chiefs of Staff falling all over themselves to carry out Obama's social engineering of the military without a whimper of dissent.
We already have a holocaust of our own called abortion - 54 million dead in the last forty years. We also have doctors experimenting with genetic engineering, using stem cell parts from aborted babies. Seventy years ago Josef Mengele and a host of other Nazi doctors experimented with genetic engineering, using the victims of their holocaust.
We often hear liberals comparing conservatives with Nazis because we favor the Christian principles of our Founders of life, liberty, morality, common sense, and constitutional government. But the Nazis in America are the leftists, liberals and Democrats blindly following their Fuhrer, Obama. The question is whether or not there is enough opposition, be it Republican, Independent, Conservative, Libertarian, or whatever, that will work together to stop the madness.
Obama is leading us down a slippery slope to destruction, and unless we stop it someday the world is going to look back in history and say (pardon the paraphrase), "Alas, alas, that great city (America), that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come." (Revelation 18:10).
Welcome!
AMERICAN FLYER is a place where America's history, her founders, her Christian roots, her servicemen and women and her greatness are loved and appreciated, where America is praised and valued, not pilloried or vilified. God Bless America.

Merry Christmas
Two days have passed since the Mayan calendar ended and just as I predicted, the days started getting longer. The world hasn't come to an end. That reminds me of another end-times prophecy "expert" whose prediction will probably be proven false in another eight days. Jack Van Impe used to be a pretty good evangelist but he finally went off the deep end with his prophetic teachings. Back in about 2001 he declared that the Lord had shown him that He would return between 2002 and 2012. Well, we've got a week to go.
Since no one knows the day nor the hour it always irritates me when people set dates because I have an idea that even if somebody got it right, God would probably change the date just to prove him wrong. Van Impe, not wanting to sound like a date setter, hedged his bets with a ten year window, but apparently he got nervous about it because back around 2004 or 5 he had a new revelation in which God told him that Jesus would come back before 2018. Well, I always hate it when they start saying things like that because now he's claimed every possible date for the next six years which means we'll have to wait at least that long for the rapture! I was really hoping I could count on it happening sometime in the next year before our country falls completely apart with the inept vacationing leaders we've got. (Heavy sigh!)
On a lighter note, we've finally reached Christmas Eve. Ethan's been begging me to let him open his presents for the last five days, but tonight he'll finally be able to do it (our family tradition has always been Christmas Eve). Tomorrow of course is Christmas, the day we celebrate the Lord's birth. You may have heard preachers or people say through the years that we really don't know when the actual day of Christ's birth is. We had "Christmas in July" once in our church to compensate for that.
You may also be aware that the Jehovah's Witnesses and other very strict groups, even some Baptists I've met along the way, don't celebrate Christmas because the December 25 is actually the date of a pagan holiday celebrating the winter solstice and all that. The Druids worshipped trees therefore the practice of putting up a tree is pagan. Well, I've done a little studying on the subject and here's what I've come up with.
Right off the bat, the winter solstice is December 21, so unless the argument is based on general timing and nearness to the date, Christmas is not the same day as the Druid holiday. Druids were around from at least 200 BC in England, Wales, and France, but the Druids as a religious practice mostly died out around the 13th century. There has been a revival of interest in the last 250 years or so. The opera composer, Vincenzo Bellini may have helped revive the interest with his opera, Norma, about a Druid priestess, first performed at La Scala December 26, 1831.
The Druids worshipped trees as part of their practice, but they also made human sacrifices. The word, Druid, comes from a Latin root referring to the oak tree. The Druids had a calendar that was divided into 22 segments, each honoring a specific type of tree. None of the trees even remotely resembled an evergreen tree. The modern practice of a Christmas tree actually has nothing to do with the Druids. It began with Martin Luther about 500 years ago, who saw the shape of the pine trees as resembling a star, and so added lights to it to show that the Light of the World had come.
As for the actual day of Christmas, there is a formula to figure it out. The Day of Atonement in the Jewish Calendar comes on September 25. Since that is the only time in the year that the high priest would enter into the Holy of Holies, that had to be the time when Zacharias encountered the angel who told him his wife would bear a son. Assuming that an excited Zacharias, old as he and his wife Elizabeth were, went home and got things started that night, it would have been around March 25 when Mary came to visit Elizabeth in her sixth month. Assuming again that March would have been the time the angel brought the news to Mary, the 25th to be exact, go forward nine months and you have December 25. So really, we have every reason to believe that December 25, if not the exact day, is very close to the exact day of Jesus' birth.
Along with that you may have wondered where the Twelve Days of Christmas came from. Well, although the western church accepted December 25, the Eastern Orthodox church accepted January 6 as the day of Jesus' birth. The difference is 12 days. The Twelve Days of Christmas came about as an effort to reconcile the differences between the two dates. The twelve days were referred to as "Holy Days," which over time has come down to us as "holidays." So in essence, even though the ACLU and the American Atheists are pushing to remove Christmas from any greetings, even if you say "Happy Holidays," you are still giving a Christian greeting, and the mockers don't even know it!
So celebrate away. The date is accurate, the tree represents the Light of the World, and it is a Holy season. HAPPY HOLIDAYS, but especially,
MERRY CHRISTMAS.

Let's Blame the Guns
The bodies of the innocents in Newtown weren't even cold before the leftist ideologues were crying for more gun control. The president said we can't go on like this. Yesterday brain dead Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill tried to throw a guilt trip at the NRA. Even Bill O'Reily said last night there is no need for "assault weapons." China is now calling for the disarming of all Americans. Oh boy would they like that.
How about handling your own weapons problem; three multiple murder knife attacks in public schools in the last month. Mind your own communist human rights violating business first before you start sticking your hypocritical mouths into our affairs. Hey, O'Reily, the so-called assault weapons are not automatic military weapons. They may look military, but they operate like any other hunting rifle. So why stop there? If you want to ban single shot semi-automatic weapons, why not ban all of them? Why be a hypocrite about it?
Hey, Claire. Get your head out of the stinking sand and face reality. The NRA didn't do this, neither did it create an atmosphere for it. The lunatic involved, as those involved in all mass murders, was not a member of the NRA. Your hero Bill Clinton banned "assault rifles" in 1994. The two delinquent boys who shot up Columbine and murdered 12 in 1999 used "assault rifles." The ban didn't work! Gun control is dealing with symptoms not the cause. Now your false messiah, BHO, wanting to ban all guns, actually said something intelligent, although he doesn't even know it. We can't go on like this, he said.
He's right. We can't go on denying scriptural truths like Thou shalt not kill, and prohibiting these truths from being taught in public schools, and then making appeals for Bibles to give to murderers in prison. You want to change the atmosphere, start changing it when they start school, not when they've wasted their lives thanks to a godless culture teaching them they are only animals on the top of the evolutionary chain. How can leftists expect anyone to think they give any serious thought about life when they are silent and approving of nearly 4,000 abortions that go on every day in America? Hypocrites all. The lowest, most vile of all hypocrites.
Did anyone see the statement by liberal Hollywood star Samuel Jackson? He said it's not about the guns, it's "about people who aren't taught the value of life." I was amazed at that coming from him, but he is absolutely right. This is a cultural problem. We have a culture that is failing to value life. Wake up Barack. Wake up Claire. Wake up Alan Colmes. Wake up Juan Williams. Wake up Planned Parenthood. Wake up Harry the rat Reed. Wake up liberals. The answer is not banning guns, it's changing the culture, and that will only happen when people learn the truth of God's Word and turn their hearts to Christ.

The Fruit of the Vine
I am working on a Masters at Liberty University Online. One of the classes I'm taking is Survey of the New Testament. We are required weekly to post a 500 word essay on particular questions having to do with our reading. Last week my post was on I Timothy and the requirements for pastors and deacons. A second assignment each week is to respond to other posts made by the class and enter into discussions on the subjects. Kind of a class participation.
One of the class members answered my post with favorable comments, but especially appreciated that I was not "legalistic" concerning drinking as he liked to drink wine. Now, I try not to be legalistic about anything because we do have liberty in Christ, however, that liberty is not to be a stumbling block to others, and I do have strong convictions on this subject, as much from real life experience as from scriptural principle. So here is my response to my fellow class member. It is lengthy, but I hope you'll wade through it and please let me know what you think. Please also accept this in the spirit of love and concern in which it is intended. This is not a condemnation of anyone who disagrees, but I hope it will make you pause and think, and to change your mind.
My position on drinking for a Discussion Board post for Survey of the New Testament at Liberty Online University, 3 December 2012.
Hello,
Thank you very much for the kind words. I'm glad if my post was helpful to you. However, I think you misunderstand my position on drinking alcohol. I try not to be legalistic about it because I have Christian friends who do drink now and then and it doesn't seem to be a problem for them. I have also known chaplains and pastors (no Baptists that I know of) who also take a drink now and then, but I am dead set against it and I'll tell you why in a moment. Although I am passionate about it, I try to teach my position through gentle persuasion with verses like Proverbs 20:1, because the issue at hand seems to be getting drunk, not just the drinking itself. But here are a number of things to consider.
You mention Jesus turning water into wine. True, and yet the wine the Bible talks about is only fermented. The alcoholic content was much less then than what modern distilling processes create today. Plus, the King James Version of the Bible is very indiscriminate when it speaks of the fruit of the vine. Wine, juice, even in one instance the vine itself, are all translated wine so it seems you have to read into it a little bit to determine whether or not the passage is speaking of a fermented or non-fermented drink. I would think that it would take an awful lot of wine to have gotten someone drunk in those days which would be indicative of someone who had no control over his imbibing.
That being said, I was told once by a flight surgeon when I was in the military (and I've heard Christians who follow this advice say the same thing), that a little shot of wine every day is actually healthy for the body as long as you don't have stomach problems. It is not good for a bad stomach, and I also had a flight surgeon tell me that once when I was having some stomach problems. (The argument that Paul told Timothy to "take a little wine for his stomach's sake," makes it okay is a fundamental misunderstanding of the situation. Timothy most likely held such strict convictions against drinking that he got sick from bad water, and Paul was telling him to drink "wine" to kill the amoebas.) There was a very well known preacher among independent Baptists, whose name I will not mention, who had a very large church in Virginia Beach. He was told by a doctor to take some wine for his health when he was already in his 60's, and started taking a drink of wine every night. But then it became two and three until one night he was arrested for driving under the influence and it ruined his ministry. There was nothing intentional on his part, but once he got started he apparently couldn't stop it.
That brings up the point of alcoholism. Some people are able to hold a whole lot more than others. Some people are alcoholics and can't hold anything. I had a step-sister who was an alcoholic. I tried to help her over and over, but you can't imagine the damage she did to her family and friends when she started drinking. All it took was one drink and she went out of control. The thing is, nobody knows how much they can take until they try it. Unfortunately, if you are an alcoholic, all it takes is one drink to get you hooked, and the only way most people will find out is if they try. I have a pretty strong constitution, but I choose not to even try. I don't want to take the chance of finding out that I can't handle it.
This is where the idea of pastors and deacons being "blameless" comes into play. I think being blameless has to do with not doing anything that anyone could possibly construe as being improper or unChristian. You may not have a conviction against taking a drink, but depending on where you are, another Christian who knows you and who does have a conviction against it may see you and be offended, or someone who is not saved may see you and point the finger at you in accusation because many unsaved people don't expect to see Christians drinking. In that case you've hurt your testimony.
I guess the bottom line is, I have seen too many people like my step-sister who have ruined their lives with alcohol. I was a pilot in the Marine Corps and Navy, and spent five years in the Philippines at Subic Bay where the entire industry of the Navy town, Olongapo, revolved around bars and prostitution. I had to deal with more sailors who got drunk, got arrested, and ruined their careers than I care to think about. One sailor in a drunken stupor had beaten up his wife. The shore patrol was called and when they came to arrest him, he poured gasoline on his gate and his shirt, and held a lighter out to keep the sp's away. When he finally lighted the fence on fire, it spread to his shirt and burned him so severely that he died a couple days later. Another time a pilot friend of mine, after a night of binge drinking, took a flight the next day when his head still wasn't clear. He wound up having an engine fire approaching NAS Coronado in bad weather, flew a terrible approach, missed the runway and ejected too late and died. I had another very dear pilot friend, who was Catholic and not a drinker, who was killed on the highway by a drunk driver who came sliding across a median head on into his car. The crash also killed his three children and left his poor wife crippled without a family in a moment of time. She was still in intensive care the day of the funeral. And now I have tears in my eyes remembering it.
I try not to be legalistic, but I am dead set against drinking alcohol of any kind, whether it's beer, liquor or wine. I hope you can understand why and I hope that I can persuade you to see my position.

Happy Thanksgiving Day
I've been a little out of the e-mail loop lately. Five weeks ago I started working on a Masters at Liberty Online University. It's an eight-week concentrated term and I'm taking two classes which have just about eaten up all my time. The reading alone is about to kill me, but I'm glad to say with only three weeks to go I've got a 98% in Old Testament and 95% in New Testament. There will be a break for Christmas and after the New Year I'll try it again. This week I've got all of my written assignments already done and only have left about eight more chapters of reading, so I'm taking today off.
I started celebrating last night with a great American tradition; a John Wayne movie. Unfortunately it was midnight before I popped the dvd into the player, and Rio Bravo is a full two hours, and since I can't watch the Duke without seeing every scene, every time I dozed off I had to rewind to catch what I missed, so it was 3 a.m. before I got to bed. This morning I am thankful for my 20 ounce John Wayne coffee mug and a bag of Nairobi Java House coffee beans to get me jump started. Lhey is already in the kitchen cooking the green beans and a ham, and after awhile we're going out to my mother's for dinner.
Of all our holidays Thanksgiving is the most uniquely American. You know the story, how the Pilgrims came and survived the first harsh winter where half of them died, and then when the harvest came in the next fall in 1621, they stopped for a three day celebration to give thanks to a benevolent Savior, Jesus Christ, who had provided for them a new home in the New World. One of George Washington's first acts as our first president was to declare a Day of Thanksgiving, and then in 1863, in the middle of the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln made Thanksgiving an official holiday.
Today I'm grateful for the history that gave us Thanksgiving. I'm thankful for the patriots who gave their lives to secure our history and make us a free people, and I'm thankful for our servicemen and women who are in harm's way today protecting our liberty.
I'm thankful for my family, for my beautiful wife who is still with us after her health struggles over the last year and a half, for our two handsome sons and a lovely adopted daughter. I'm thankful for our house that will be paid off, Lord willing, in another year. I'm thankful for this computer to write and all the things God has provided for us in the last year. I'm thankful for good roads, running water and reliable electricity, things we seldom had in Kenya.
At this moment I'm thankful for three robins perched on the fence outside the window where I am writing. I'm thankful for the little things like these birds that God provides to remind us He is always there. I'm thankful for all the red, orange, and yellow leaves and the gorgeous splash of color they gave us before falling off the trees, and the knowledge that in the spring they will bud and grow back green and full of life. I'm grateful that it's not a reminder of some zen circle of life, but of the resurrection to eternal life that one day will come for all those whose faith is in Jesus Christ.
I'm thankful that Obama won the election. Hear me out. I supported Romney once he won the nomination, but he was not my first choice and I was never fully confident or satisfied with him. He was gentlemanly and presidential, but he wasn't bright enough or tough enough to get in the trenches and hold BHO's feet to the fire over Benghazi or anything else. He may have been good for the economy, but if he wouldn't stand up to BHO in a debate, how do we know he would have stood up to anybody in a crisis? Maybe that's not fair, but here's what I think:
If Romney would have won, Obama would have left Washington and never been held accountable for anything. It would always have been Bush's fault. He would have lost because of racism. The liberal media would have whined for the next four years about Republicans stealing the election. The problem is we've come to the point in America where the anti-Christian blame America first crowd has tipped the scales. The anti-God party in power is determined to lead this country to a position where just like the ancient Jews in the Book of Judges, "Every man did what was right in his own eyes." (Judges 21:25).
I believe that is where we are in America today. When the Jews of old turned their backs on God He sent an oppressor who made things so bad that it finally drove the people to their knees. I was reminded of this in our devotions last night before we put Ethan to bed. Ethan is sharp in his four year old way. Last night he prayed, "Jesus, rescue us from Obama."
I wrote before that God won't have to do anything to judge America. If we reelect BHO we'll bring the judgment on ourselves. There are some people who, of course, will never wake up from their blind worship of this false messiah, but there are others who, when they don't get the cell phones they were promised, when they can no longer afford to buy gas or pay rent, when so many people get on food stamps and prices go so high that they can't even buy food with the stamps, may finally get the picture. Then, when God has humbled the nation and driven us to our knees, maybe people will cry out to God for help, and maybe He will have mercy and restore America to its former greatness.
There is no way of knowing for sure what God's short term intentions for the country are. We know from the Bible His long term plan, and it may be that we are closer to the long term plan being fulfilled than we realize. In the meantime all we can do is "occupy till He comes," be faithful in our own lives and witness, oppose ungodliness and stand up for righteousness, and try to win as many people as we can to Christ while there is time.
And don't worry about Obama's legacy. The conservative movement, even though it is struggling to gain traction with RINO and establishment Republicans, is not dead. Benghazi is not going away. The next four years for Obama is going to be one coverup after another to hide the truth of his disastrous and traitorous leadership. His legacy is going to be the worst economy, the worst foreign policy, and the least transparent and the most corrupt administration in American history.
I am thankful for the privilege of being born an American, to have served in the Armed Forces, to have lived and breathed free. And I am grateful for the freedom in my heart that comes from knowing Christ as my Savior. I hope you know Him too.
Happy Thanksgiving.

Sitting On the Sidelines
Did anybody hear Rush Limbaugh today? I don't know where he got his information but he said a study is showing that three million American evangelicals didn't vote Tuesday. Since BO won the popular vote by only 200 and some thousand, if only one in six of those evangelicals had gotten up off the sideline and voted we would have won by 200 and some thousand and we would have been freed from the curse of BO. And people still tell me our votes don't count. They surely don't when you're sitting at home watching the country fall apart around you. But their convictions won't let them vote for the lesser of two evils. So now we have the worst of two evils again.
Now is not the time to quit. Now is the time to start getting ready for 2014. The next two years with obamacare instituted, higher taxes, and gasoline prices rising toward $7 (BO predicted they would get that high in 2008, when he told us to inflate our tires, remember?) there will be another tea party backlash, and four years from now when the budget reaches the tipping point, prices are sky high, medical care is slower and worse than in Africa, when unemployment still hasn't come down, and people are suffering, the Democrat Party won't be able to blame it on Bush anymore and it will simply roll over and die.
Keep the faith. If the Lord doesn't come first conservatives will have another chance to take the country back. But it won't happen if we run anymore old middle-of-the-road establishment Republicans. We've got to preach conservative values, I mean Christian, biblical, godly values, preach it loud, preach it often, and start winning our country back to Christ while there is time. And then field a candidate with true conservative values.
Hope springs eternal, but only if we stay engaged.

Betrayed for Political Agenda
If this doesn't make you angry you aren't a true American. As more and more information becomes available about the events in Libya on September 11, it is becoming increasingly obvious that the White House and the entire administration is engaging in a coverup of apocryphal proportions. Benghazi Gate is so much bigger than Watergate that it demands not only an accounting, not only an impeachment, but a trial for treason.
Four Americans, including an ambassador, are dead, sacrificed for a political agenda designed to protect Obama and his image as a foreign policy giant. Obama's actions during the seven hour attack and the tale he's been weaving ever since are nothing short of treasonous. What is just as appalling is the sold out left-wing news media doing everything it can to divert attention from the facts.
On 9/11 2012, Muslim terrorists attacked the US consulate in Benghazi, Libya. By early the next day the news was out that the ambassador, Chris Stevens, had been killed. That morning Obama made a press announcement in which he stated that acts of terror would not go unpunished, then left for a campaign stop in Las Vegas, Nevada. He never referred to Benghazi as an act of terror.
Four days later on the Sunday talk show circuit, the UN ambassador, Susan Rice, on five different network interviews said the attack was a spontaneous reaction to an anti-Muslim video that nobody had yet heard of. White House spokesman Jay Carney continued the ruse day after day.
This had everybody scratching their heads. What video? But the Secretary of State continued to promote this wag, and when Obama and Clinton met the bodies being returned home at Andrews Air Force Base, they couldn't keep the video out of their remarks for one minute. Then a week later in a speech at the UN, Obama declared six times that the cause was the video.
While in New York, Obama sent Hilary out to meet with world leaders while he visited the celebrity talk show circuit and said over and over that not all the facts were known and that they were letting the public know as soon as they knew anything. Two weeks passed before Obama finally conceded that it was a terrorist attack.
Then when Paul Ryan confronted Biden at the Vice Presidential debate, Biden, waving his arms all over the place, said that on the day after the attacks they didn't know what had happened. Six days later at the next presidential debate, Obama said he knew and called it a terrorist attack on the day after. Then he feigned offense that Romney could even suggest a coverup was going on.
One has to wonder if even the White House takes Biden seriously. Obama knew, but Biden didn't? Were they keeping it a secret from him?
Lies beget lies beget lies. They must be panicked in the White House because more and more is getting exposed, and over the last week Obama has dodged every question that's come up about Benghazi. Not that there are that many, but some media people are starting to wake up. The Des Moines Register, an ultra liberal newspaper, just came out endorsing Romney.
And more information is leaking out. State Department e-mails are showing that the White House was informed that terrorists were behind the attack within two hours of the attack happening. But wait, there were drones in the air watching events take place, and apparently some people were in the Situation Room at the White House watching. Where was the leader of the free world when that was going on? Where was the messiah who could bring peace to the Middle East when his ambassador was being murdered?
Now we know the attack went on at the consulate, which was a mile away from an annex where an inadequate security team was based because two other units had been withdrawn, even though the embassy had requested increased security. Both places were attacked in a battle that went on for seven hours. Repeated requests for assistance at the consulate were denied until finally Ty Woods and maybe another disobeyed orders and went to the consulate to try and rescue seven people that were trapped there. Several were rescued, but the ambassador and one other were killed.
Running a gauntlet of machine gun fire the Americans raced through the streets in a vehicle with blown tires and made it to the annex. Mortar fire then dropped on the annex until Ty Woods, apparently on a rooftop, located the mortar and targeted it with a laser. There is only one reason a Forward Observer, SEAL team member, or whoever, would beam a laser light at a target like that. He was expecting a smart bomb or cruise missile to be launched at the target. He could only have expected that if he thought assets were in the air to launched the weapons. No weapon was launched. Apparently an order to stand down or canceling the attack had been given.
Right now the entire administration is in denial mode. CIA Director General Petraus announced he gave no such order. But somebody did, and there aren't too many people in the chain of command below the Commander-in-Chief who could give such an order.
Ty Woods was exposed and then fired upon and killed because he was betrayed by the inept, self-serving traitor in the White House. This entire administration is guilty of at the very least gross negligence and incompetence, but at the worst a very vast coverup of Obama's failed leadership and betrayal of Americans who trusted him.
Obama said again yesterday that they were going to find those responsible and make them pay. Why should we believe him? A New York Times reporter found the man claiming to have led the attack sipping a strawberry frappe in a sidewalk cafe in Tripoli. If a liberal journalist from an Obama supporting newspaper can find the mastermind, why can't the Obama administration find him and do something?
It is unfathomable to think that there is anybody left, who would still vote for this lilly-livered scoundrel. He's a spineless coward, the poorest excuse ever to occupy the White House. He's an embarrassment to America and all that is decent and godly. And there are worse descriptions that would fit. Many people think America is about to face God's judgment, but if Obama is re-elected, God won't even have to do anything. Obama will do it for him, and we will have brought it on ourselves. If America doesn't turn him out next week then we deserve him.
What the Betrayer-in-Chief Obama deserves is jail.

The Right to Vote
I am fed up with the pessimistic, fatalistic, burn the bridges, let America go to hell attitude of some Christians who are choosing not to vote for the "lesser of two evils." I received a couple more of these e-mails from I don't know where from far right extremist Christians who have no more common sense than to think that giving up and letting evil triumph is somehow going to please God and give them a clear conscience. How clear are their consciences going to be when the Obama Nazis start forcing them to pay for abortion on demand? How are they going to feel when they find their churches closed and know that they could have done something to stop it but stayed home and did nothing?
I'm reading another loser article called The Christian Nonvoter. Jim Fedako, a Ron Paul supporter, argues that his vote won't "bind Satan in chains," and if you think yours will you are suffering from pride. He declares that there is no Christian duty to vote for president, and turns to Nazi Germany to prove his point. Christians, he claims, voted for Hitler because they thought he was the lesser of two evils and look what they got.
Well, let's take a look at that. First, Fedako has no supporting evidence to make his claim that Christians elected Hitler. He didn't research it. He didn't research German politics in the 1930's either. Hitler was never elected to a public office. He was head of the Nazi party, but he was so undesirable that he couldn't win enough votes to get elected. Unfortunately his party ran people who did win, and by 1932, when they won a majority of seats in the Reichstag, the president, Von Hindenburg, had no choice but to appoint Hitler to be the Chancellor.
Secondly, Mitt Romney is not an evil Adolf Hitler waiting to break out of his nice guy shell and become the most vile person on earth. Barack Obama is. And there's the difference. Not voting for Romney because he's a Mormon is a lazy man's way of saying he doesn't have enough guts to stand up for righteousness. An Obama victory means he'll have "more flexibility," and there will be no stopping his overthrow of the United States from within short of a civil war.
Another one of these self-righteous non-voters is a Florida football coach named Dave Daubenmire. He thinks Christians are ignorant if they think their vote will make any difference. I'd say Christians are ignorant if they fall for this line of thinking. We are commanded to be salt and light. Jesus told us to occupy until He comes. Romans 13 tells us to be in subjection to the government and be loyal citizens. Loyal American citizens vote!
Listen, our government is not Barack Obama! It is the United States Constitution which Obama is treading all over and will destroy if we don't stop him. The Constitution guarantees our right to vote, a right most of the world has never had, and much of the world still doesn't have. You can bet on it that this election is going to be full of fraud. There are already two cases of voting machines in early voting automatically putting in Obama's name no matter who the voter selected. There are already cases of Democrats registering people more than once, just as they did in the 2008 election. You can be sure there will be more.
The atheist Democrat machine, led by its false messiah from Kenya, is out, as it always is, to steal another election. And the stakes this time have never been greater. This is for our independence, it's for our nation, it's for our freedom, it's for America. If it turns out that it is God's will that this election will bring His judgment down on America, then so be it, but I'm not going to be one of the cowards sitting on the sideline watching it happen when we could be throwing the most vile man ever to occupy the White House out on his ear.
What if Christians had stayed home in 2000 because George Bush got arrested for drunk driving once? We'd have had Al Gore. What if they'd stayed home in 1980 because Ronald Reagan was non-denominational? We'd have had four more years of Carter. What if they'd stayed home in 1968 because Nixon was a Quaker? We'd have had Hubert Humphrey. None of those, with the exception of Gore, would ever have been as bad as Barack Obama, but if Christians stay home this time and he is reelected, we've lost America.
Whether we win the election or not, I'm not giving up until the last shot is fired, or in this case, the last vote is cast. This country has too rich a Christian heritage to just give it up to anti-Christian communists. If we don't participate in the basic responsibilities of the God given freedom we've been blessed with, we are undeserving of the freedom we enjoy. Over a million Americans have given their lives for our freedom in our 400 year history. Considering the sacrifice so many have made, it's a pathetic, ungrateful, scoundrel who won't take advantage of the most basic freedom we have to keep that freedom alive.
The argument is made that there is no scriptural mandate to vote. Look at it this way. Remember the slothful servant who hid his talent in the ground when his master went away? When the master returned he punished the servant, took his talent away from him and gave it to someone more worthy. I can just hear Fedako and Daubenmire saying that's about serving the Lord, not voting. You want a Christian perspective? How are you as a Christian going to serve the Lord when you lose your religious liberty? Eighty percent of the world's missionaries are sent from the United States. If we lose our First Amendment freedoms world-wide missions will die. Surrendering is not an option for the Christian. Disengagement is not godly, it's cowardly.
We absolutely must stay engaged. The Democrats may manage to steal this election and we may lose our country, but I'm not going to be sitting on the sidelines watching it fall apart, and neither should any Christian.
And by the way, this is not an election about the lesser of two evils. Neither may be exactly what we want, but how many candidates ever are? There's only been one Ronald Reagan in my lifetime. This election is about a decent, family man, who knows how to run a business and a government, but happens to be a member of a cult that calls itself Christian and is not; and it's about evil personified in the closet communist, muslim, community organizer who knows nothing about running a business, much less a government, and has been an absolute embarrassment on foreign policy. For the Bible believing Christian it ought to be a no brainer.
Prove your patriotism and your Christianity and VOTE!
If you don't, don't complain about what you get.

I'm In
You've heard of "Throwing your Hat in the Ring," an expression usually indicating that someone has decided to campaign for an office. A couple weeks ago I heard Roseanne Barr, the leftist, National Anthem mocking comedienne, announce that she is running for president on the Peace and Freedom Party ticket. Her agenda is flatly stated; socialism.
Now several people have suggested I run for office and I haven't taken them seriously because I am occupied in what I think is a more important profession. But then I saw Barr's announcement and I thought, Why not? I'm in! I don't mean for a local or state office, not even Congress. I'm going for the whole enchilada. I'm running for president of these United States of America. And why not? I've got at least as much experience and a whole lot more common sense than the current White House Occupant (WHO).
Let me explain to you my qualifications and why I'm a better choice than the WHO.
Citizenship: I'm a Birther. There won't be any controversy over my birth certificate or my college transcripts. It's all there for everybody to see and I won't be wasting any money trying to hide it. Transparency will be the real thing in my administration, not the bull we get from the WHO, because I have nothing to hide.
Experience: I haven't been the president of Princeton like Woodrow Wilson was, nor did I build a university like Thomas Jefferson did, but I was the administrator of a Bible college in Kenya for 11 years, and I did oversee building projects, as well as curriculum development. Our college wasn't large, but I ran it while building and pastoring churches at the same time, and it gave me a whole lot more executive experience than the WHO got from being a community organizer.
According to the WHO's wife, he has lived the American dream. Considering that he lived in one of the wealthiest subdivisions in Jakarta for several years and has been spoon-fed everything he's ever gotten in life, including his college education, I would question whether he even knows what the American dream is. For that matter, I wonder why the First Spouse was never proud of America before the WHO became a candidate for president if he had lived the American dream. She should have been proud all along that he could do it.
I have lived the real American dream. Got my first job when I was 11 years old, built a dune buggy in high school, paid my own way through college and played the Great American Pastime, baseball, became a Marine and then a pilot. I'm not one of those greedy rich with millions in the bank like the WHO, but I own two houses, and I am one of those evil landlords that make money off a rental property.
I have, by the way, spent millions of dollars. When I went through flight school it was estimated that the cost of training one military pilot was 1.5 million. The average cost of flying the A-4 during my tenure in the Corps and the Navy was about 45,000 per flight hour. I logged over 2300 hours in the air, which means I spent or used $103,500,000 during my military career, and all in the line of duty. I used tax payer dollars in service to the country unlike the WHO, who costs the US taxpayer 1.4 billion dollars a year to haul him and his entourage all over the country and the world, half the time for vacations, golf, or campaign fundraisers. I'm a bargain in comparison.
Economics: I believe in laissez-faire free enterprise trickle down Reagonomics. Much to the consternation of the WHO and in direct contradiction to what he and his lackeys have been spewing since the Democrat convention, IT DOES WORK!!! IT HAS ALWAYS WORKED. IT WILL ALWAYS WORK. Every economic recovery or period of growth since the Federal Income Tax was instituted 99 years ago has come about because of tax cuts. It worked with Eisenhower, with Kennedy, with Reagan, with Clinton, in spite of his gargantuan lie at the convention, and with Bush II. The strongest of these, the one that produced four straight budget surpluses under Clinton, also cut spending (forced upon him by the Republican controlled Congress led by Newt Gingrich). It's the only way we will ever tackle the 16 trillion dollar deficit, half of which has been accumulated since the Democrats took over Congress in 2006, and more than a third of which has been added since the WHO took office less than four years ago.
The WHO believes in redistributing the wealth, which in everybody else's terms is socialism, no matter how much the WHO or the Democrats deny it. Let's get something straight. IT DOESN'T WORK. IT NEVER HAS WORKED, AND IT NEVER WILL WORK.
Foreign Policy: I am still amazed at the gall of the Obama campaign in 2008 and its lapdog media agents who excoriated Sarah Palin for not having the knowledge or personality to deal with foreign policy issues. She had been the mayor of a town and was the governor of Alaska, she had executive experience, was firm in her positions, solid in her determination, yet they castigated her for lack of experience, all the while ignoring the fact that the WHO had never even run a lemonade stand, and knew nothing on foreign policy.
The Obama Doctrine is to weaken our military and bow before Muslim leaders. He told us that by his very election he would show the world the US has changed and they would talk to him and that would bring about peace. In fact, three years after the WHO's groveling apology tour, he still hasn't dialogued with any significant Middle Eastern leader, and now anti-American protesters have attacked our embassies all across the region and murdered four Americans including an ambassador. That is not a "bump in the road," it is an abject failure.
I've lived 15 years of my life overseas, stayed in the homes of dirt poor people, ate meals in some of the most out of the way places with no sanitation, survived a revolution, a volcanic eruption, and dengue fever, dealt with corrupt government officials including immigration agents, attorneys, judges, and policemen. I won't make the mistake of supporting the Muslim Brotherhood or any government that hates us. By the way, one of the first places we can save money is by cutting foreign aid all across the board, with the exception of Israel.
Military: Peace Through Strength. Recapture Reagan's vision and build our forces back to the number one status in the world. Power projection will do more for peace and keeping our embassies protected than bowing to Muslim leaders and dialoguing. Bring our troops home and give them some R and R. Let the rest of the world take care of its own problems, but have our military ready to pounce anywhere at anytime when Americans are threatened or in danger.
Immigration: Legal immigration for qualified people who want to come to America to become Americans. No more immigration lottery. No amnesty for illegal aliens. Require E-verify for employers, jail and/or deport every illegal caught in a crime, and allow "law-abiding" illegals to self deport as they lose their jobs due to E-verify. Secure the border with Mexico and use the military to support the Border Patrol. End all government suits against States that have tightened their own immigration laws.
Healthcare: Repeal Obamacare. Let the States run their own programs. The only reform I would make is to allow insurance companies to sell over State lines to make the entire insurance industry more competitive. That in itself will bring the cost of medical care down. And ban pharmaceutical companies from advertising publicly. Cutting out the millions they spend for thirty second commercials followed by sixty seconds of disclaimers to prevent lawsuits in case someone gets sick from their medicine will save millions for the cost of medicine.
Pro First Amendment; the government keeps its hands off the churches, off the internet, off the radio, off of free speech. Separation of Church and State is not in the Constitution and will no longer determine religious involvement in the public square. We are a free people, Christian or non-christian, and there will be no restrictions on the use of the Bible or the Ten Commandments in schools, on military bases or in government. After all, the Ten Commandments are written in stone in the US Supreme Court.
Pro Second Amendment; the government will take my guns from my cold, dead hands.
Morality: Pro-life; pro biblical marriage; no special rights or status for gays; the Defense of Marriage Act will be upheld. Repeal Roe v. Wade.
Unification: The WHO famously told us in 2007 that there is no black-America, Latino-America, Asian-America, there is just the United States of America. He promised to unify the country. Then he proceeded to play the race card the day he announced his candidacy, and today racism and class warfare in America is the worst it has ever been. Anyone who opposes the WHO is immediately decried as a racist.
He can't pull the race card on me. I've spent most of the last 13 years in Africa working with black people, and of course, I am inter-racially married. You want unity, I'm your man. You want to end racism, I'm your man.
I love America. I love our Constitution. I love our Declaration of Independence. I love our military. I love the God of our Fathers, that is, the Christian God that most all of them worshipped. I love our history, and I'm not afraid of it, neither am I afraid to say that there were no Muslims who helped build our great nation ever. America is the greatest nation on earth because America began as a Christian enterprise, became a Christian nation, grew into the world's number one power, became the greatest, if not the only true, benefactor nation in history, all because of Christianity. It is time we go back to our roots and have a rebirth of faith in what made us great.
That's as concise as I can make my platform, but it is enough to tell you how I will govern in all other areas as well. So I'm in. Now we need to spread the word and get 65 million write-in votes for me in the next thirty days....
Come to think of it, since that's probably unlikely, I'll give my vote to Mitt Romney. If I've got more experience than the WHO, then Romney has tons more, and Romney/Ryan are a whole lot closer to the principles in my platform than the WHO and the GAFFE.
It's time the WHO became the GONE.
Now several people have suggested I run for office and I haven't taken them seriously because I am occupied in what I think is a more important profession. A Serious Discussion
At another campaign stop in Las Vegas, Obama, with loosened tie and rolled up sleeves, bounced up to the podium with a grin and a chuckle, and in jocular fashion, tried to pass himself off as a cool guy, just one of the gang. Waving to his supporters he downplayed the upcoming debate condescendingly calling Romney a great debater while, with an air of false humility, lowering the expectations of his own ability. Then, following the liberal trend of ignoring what the Romney/Ryan ticket is offering, he made his own subtle attack against the Republicans implying that they have no plan, and saying this:
What I'm most concerned about is having a serious discussion about what we need to do to keep the country growing and restore security of hard-working Americans.
Actually, I think most Americans are more than willing to have a serious discussion with Obama about what he plans to do, but he's so busy campaigning and schmoozing with celebrities that he has no time to run the country or deal with foreign policy issues, much less discuss them with the common people. How serious can he be taken when leaders from all over the Middle East are at the United Nations, but Obama has no time to meet with any of them because he's being "eye-candy" on the View?
How serious can he be taken when he claims to be Israel's best friend, but can't find time to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu while they are both in New York even though he had several free hours on his schedule between being on the View and his next meeting?
How serious can he be taken when two weeks after the Libyan ambassador and three other Americans were murdered he goes before the United Nations General Assembly and continues to spew the misinformation he sent his Secretary of State and UN ambassador out to disseminate that it was a spontaneous reaction to an unknown Youtube video, even after evidence has been uncovered showing that he new it was a coordinated terrorist attack within 24 hours of the events taking place?
How serious can he be taken when he leaves US diplomats unprotected after the Libyan president claims to have warned the US of the threat of an attack three days before it happened?
How serious can he be taken when he declares there is a new respect for America around the world, while Iranian president Ahmadinejad accuses America of being allied to the devil, and US embassies are being attacked, our flags being burned, and Al-Qaeda flags being raised on our embassy soil all over the Middle East and North Africa?
How serious can he be taken when his foreign policy of apology and appeasement designed to get Iran to the negotiating table and end their quest for a nuclear bomb has totally failed?
How serious can he be taken when he says the US economy is recovering after 43 straight months of unemployment above eight percent? When he says he's done more to increase our energy production than any other president, but canceled the XL pipeline and has forced scores of coal mines to close? When he's given us over 6 trillion dollars in new debt in less than four years?
How serious can he be taken when he goes on Letterman and can't answer a straight question about the national debt saying he didn't know exactly what it was when he took office? Or when he tells Letterman it is a long term problem but not a short term problem when if he doesn't address it in the short term it will grow beyond the ability to be fixed in the long term?
How serious can he be taken about medical care for seniors when he's taken 716 billion dollars out of Medicare to pay for Obamacare, which we now find out will fine any hospital that admits a Medicare patient more than one time?
How serious can he be taken when he says Obamacare will not cover abortions when we now know it will force everybody's tax dollars or insurance covereage to pay for abortion on demand, regardless of religious beliefs that are against it?
How serious can he be taken when he says the border with Mexico is secure while another border agent has been murdered and he's claiming executive privilege to protect his derelict Attorney General from the Fast and Furious investigation, or maybe his own connection to it?
How serious can he be about immigration reform when his Agricultural Department is providing training for Mexican citizens to get US food stamps?
How serious can he be taken when he's missed almost half of his national security briefings but played 104 rounds of golf?
How serious can he be taken when he claims to support the military but has taken every step possible to prevent the military from voting absentee while serving the country overseas, and has plans to decrease military spending down to almost nothing?
How serious can he be taken when he claims to be a Christian but turns his back on Christian holidays and prayer days, and refuses to speak at Christian venues unless Christian symbols are covered up, all the while quoting the Koran from memory and honoring Muslim holidays with Muslim guests including leaders of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood at the White House?
How serious can he be taken when he says he knows American history and praises the Muslim influence on our founding while denying our true Christian heritage?
How serious can he be taken when he talks about bi-partisanship and blames the Republicans for blocking progress when he refuses to meet with Republican leaders, when he can't even submit a budget that his own party will vote for, and when he bypasses the Congress, the Courts, and the Constitution by issuing unconstitutional executive orders?
The only thing we can take serious about Obama is that he is a pathological liar, that he doesn't care what we the people think, and that his Hope and Change plan for America is no hope for freedom and all change to a socialist dictatorship, which he will accomplish if he is re-elected.
Yes, let's have a serious discussion, and let's pray that Romney starts it at the first debate tomorrow night.
